Free Your Inner Writer: Introduction
This class is a series of exercises designed to help an individual reach inside, find his or her inner writer and freedom from fears and opinions that may repress the flow of words we’re all capable of achieving. Don’t expect any tests. You can’t fail this class. You don’t even have to share anything you write if you don’t want to. You may finish all the exercises in two weeks. It may take you a year. Just move along at your own pace. Any other rate will only prove exasperating and prevent you from the full potential this exercise in self-discovery can provide. By the time you finish, you will be able to write in a more focused manner and for longer periods of time without needing a break.
Another thing to keep in mind as you progress is the benefits of relaxation before addressing any of the steps in this process. Whether you use a brisk walk, meditation, breathing exercises, or any other method is up to you. Just know that by relaxing before these exercises will help you reach deeper within yourself and enhance self-discovery.
You will also find it helpful to have a notebook or journal for keeping a record of your reactions, ideas and other notes you may want to keep up with. Don’t put off this opportunity. Be the writer you want to be beginning now. GO FOR IT!
